Chris Gross is the founder and owner/broker of Upper Delaware Real Estate. Chris brings unmatched experience of over *35 years* in the real estate industry and nearly impeccable customer reviews. In addition, Chris is an expert in the field of natural resources, including Forestry, and holds an AAS degree in Natural Resource Conservation from the State University of New York. He also has significant expertise in land development and planning, Bluestone and Bluestone mining, natural gas development, solar development, building renovation, surveying and timber harvesting. He has been involved in all aspects of real estate brokerage, including residential, recreational, land, commercial, industrial and investment/income property. Joe is an Associate Real Estate Broker in New York and Pennsylvania and is one of the very few agents in either state with an MBA (Master's degree in Business). Joe is also an FAA-licensed commercial drone pilot and professional real estate photographer! There are few agents in NY or PA who carry the same level of professionalism and financial/industry knowledge. Outside of his real estate expertise, Joe is also an assistant baseball coach for the NYS Champion Deposit/Hancock Eagles baseball team, a finisher at IRONMAN Lake Placid 2026, and a 2-time marathon finisher. Barry Jones has worked as a licensed salesperson in our Downsville Branch office since 2018. Although a 35-year resident of Downsville, Barry began visiting the area on summer vacations with his family in 1956. Before real estate, Barry worked as Director of Field Operations for Ron Mullinex Land Surveying for 32 years and now brings that expertise into his real estate practice, which is a great asset to buyers and sellers, as well as the entire team at UDRE.

Mary-joe joined our Downsville office in 2005, making her the most experienced agent with Upper Delaware. Mary-joe's customer service skills combined with her years of experience make her a very valuable member of our team. She knows the Walton, Downsville, Sidney, and Unadilla areas like no other. Sarah became licensed in 2026 and hit the ground running. Currently a softball standout at St. John Fisher University pursuing her undergraduate degree, Sarah has already begun to excel in real estate. She closed her first deal in the Summer of 2026 before starting her sophomore year of college.

Nick Gross became a licensed real estate salesperson with Upper Delaware Real Estate in 2025 after years of experience in digital media. Nick is an FAA-licensed commercial drone pilot and is currently the Media Director with the St. Pius X Parish in Albany, NY. On top of that, he is a marathon finisher! With Upper Delaware Real Estate's expanding reach, Nick is able to help us cover Northern Delaware County, Schoharie County, Albany County, and even Greene County. Tara has lived in Walton for over 30 years and has over 14 years of banking, finance, customer service and lending experience. She currently works as an office manager in Pennsylvania and is excited to add real estate to her list of accomplishments. Tara has joined our staff in the Downsville office part-time in 2018 with a passion for service in upstate New York and she is ready to help with your home buying and selling needs. Jim Shields was a Downsville native and had been a licensed real estate salesman and broker for over 40 years. He was an Associate Broker and Office Manager at the Downsville Branch Office of Upper Delaware Real Estate, where he specialized in overseeing agent production and public relations. Jim participated in special projects, such as the Dollar General deals in Walton and Downsville.
