If you venture outside of your hidden retreat, nearby Deposit, New York has a number of recreational and dining opportunities. The famous West Branch Delaware River is known for some of the best trout fly fishing in the country and canoeing and kayaking, too. The Cannonsville Reservoir is a scenic wonder with fishing and other opportunities. Oquaga Creek State Park is a maintained state park with a lake and a beach. The nearby Chestnut Inn has fine dining at a beautiful lakeside location. In Deposit, you can grab your groceries at the Big M, then stop at Crane’s Liquor and take home the beverage of your choice.
